Nowy Sącz, the seat of an urban district authority (poviat) is also the administration centre of subsidiary state agencies and institutions for Nowy Sącz rural district and neighbouring districts as well. Education is one of its main advantages. The town's hallmark is the College of Business (WSB-NLU). The town authorities are the founders of the State Vocational College (PWSZ).

The Modern Business Management Programme (Pol. Nowoczesne Zarządzanie Biznesem – NZB) has been established on the initiative of the Polish Bank Association and at present it is implemented in 131 Polish universities and academies. The programme covers the entire Poland and ensures access to thousands of students and academic teachers. The project is implemented under the belief that the combination of didactic and academic experience with hands-on knowledge will enable us to prepare its addressees better to employ their knowledge in the future jobs in a practical manner.
The Sectoral Council for Competencies in the Financial Sector was initiated through a partnership between the Warsaw Banking Institute, the Polish Bank Association and the Polish Chamber of Insurance, and is implemented under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020. In total, 25 entities are represented in the Council, including commercial and cooperative banks, industry organisations, higher education institutions and training companies.
Student Parliament of Republic of Poland – a nationwide commission of all the student self-governments. According to the Higher Education Act it represents the student environment before the governing bodies of Poland and formulates opinions on acts of legislation which concern students. Parliament’s representatives participate in the work of the public authorities’ governing bodies, Commissions of the Polish Sejm and Senat. Student Parliament of Republic of Poland is the sole representative of Poland in the European Student’s Union.

WSB-NLU applies a classical education model, based on the Cloud Academy - a proprietary innovative IT system that provides not just complex management functions but also distance learning which assure complete interactivity between participants and the instructor (www.clouda.pl, www.clouda.edu.pl).
This program is aimed at equalizing educational opportunities for children and youth living in rural areas and small towns. Within the program groups of student volunteers (2 to 3 persons) implement educational projects they have prepared to develop the knowledge, skills and interests of children and youth. The projects are implemented in free time during the school year as well as during summer vacations and winter breaks.
The projects involve a specific field of knowledge, a subject or a selected area of activity, and consist of activities such as classes in fine arts, sports, information technology, theater, and linguistics. The program encourages pupils to develop their skills by promoting positive role models and shapes university students’ sense of social responsibility while providing them with an attractive way to discover and fulfill their passions and interests.
Since 2003, in all program editions, over 35,000 educational projects have been carried out all over Poland in 2,500 schools involving more than 15,000 student volunteers and 340,000 pupils.
Youth Initiatives Foundation was initiated by a group of young people from academic and scout environments who needed additional tools for wider variety of social and public activities. The main aim of the Foundation is integration of these environments and building cooperation areas between them. Among elementary aims of the Foundation one can find educational activities in the public space with respect to patriotism and history of Poland and promotion of active citizenship and social values. Foundation takes the initiatives and reaches school and academic youth integrating and engaging the youngsters in its actions.
